Established in 1996, today Association of Bulgarian Tour Operators and Travel Agents (ABTTA) is a leading professional organization dedicated to the establishment of a high professional and active network of members within the territory of the country, specialized in outgoing, incoming and MICE tourism, and IATA accredited members.
The core objectives of ABTTA include timely monitoring of the changing political and policy landscape relevant to the industry, coordination of the business opinion-making process, and leading lobbying activities to present a unified industry voice in front of the relevant governmental institutions.
Since 2004 ABTTA is a member of the Group of European Travel Agents’ and Tour Operators’ Association, ECTAA – the most respected professional European organization in tourism, presenting balanced interests of Bulgarian tourism in front of the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the other EU institutions.
Since its establishment, ABTTA participates as an expert in APJC Bulgaria, the IATA consulting body of airlines, and IATA accredited agents.
